Ellis Carr has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and mortgage industries. He served as Capital Impact Partners’ Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from 2012 until his appointment as President and CEO in 2016. Prior to joining Capital Impact, Ellis held various positions in the investments, capital markets, strategy and corporate finance areas within Freddie Mac and in fixed income fund management both domestically and abroad at Deutsche Bank. Ellis is a trustee of the NHP Foundation; Chair Elect, Second Vice Chair and Treasurer of Martha’s Table; the Vice Chair of Opportunity Finance Network's Board of Directors; and Treasurer and Board Member of the Housing Partnership Network. In 2015, he was recognized as one of the “Top 40 under 40” business executives by the Washington Business Journal. Ellis graduated from Towson University with an undergraduate degree in accounting, and from Georgetown University with a master’s degree in real estate with a concentration in finance.
