Jeffrey Connor is COO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. He provides strategic direction, resource planning and workforce management for a national trade association with electric utility members in 47 states and missions around the world. Jeffrey brings experience in public policy, coalitions and communications to the community-focused advocacy work of America’s Electric Cooperatives. From 2015 to 2016, Jeffrey provided transitional leadership to the organization when he served as Interim CEO.
Prior to joining NRECA, Jeffrey served as Chief of Staff and Communications Director to U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, in addition to posts with the House Appropriations Committee, U.S. Rep. Lee Terry, and several working groups in the U.S. Congress.
Jeffrey is a native Nebraskan. He received his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife, Emily, and their two children.
